MTN FOLK LORE

MTN FOLK LORE is a collection of adornment created by artist, maker, and curator Jo Potter. About me: I have been collecting and making things my whole life. My work is informed by symbolism, storytelling and the natural and imaginary worlds (that kind of covers it all, huh?). I employ a variety of techniques and utilize highly considered metals, gemstones, and foraged elements. My studio and gallery are located in a 100+ year old American chestnut clad space next to historic Biltmore Village in Asheville, NC. My creative process is a practice of meditation and intention and every aspect is thoughtfully considered. I create from the heart and hope my curiosity and reverence of the natural and mystical/spiritual/imaginary world connects with your heart too!
